Total Support Usage Audit: the specimen report in one page

What an employer gets back. The full report has twelve sections. This is the short version.

9% of the people who replied used any of the support on offer in the last twelve months.

Northgate Facilities Group, an invented organisation. 460 invited, 178 replied. Every percentage is a share of the 178.

A low usage figure is not a verdict on the people who run the support. Any support a person has to ask for by name meets the same limit, however well it is run. The full report shows where that limit sits and what can still move it.

What the audit is

Staff answer 24 questions in about five minutes, with nothing to type. They are asked about every kind of support on offer: the assistance line, the app, occupational health, the line manager and HR route, and anything else. The employer gets group figures only. No answer is ever held against a name or an email address.

What the specimen found

What it measuresResult
Used any of the support9%
Knew of some support, used none71%
Did not know any of it existed20%
Main reason for not using it: worried it would change how they are seen at work31%
Would use it if something started affecting their work17%
Rated their own work 5 or below out of 1022%
High demand at work, with little say over it41%
What it means. Most people knew the support was there and did not use it. The biggest single reason was that using it means somebody at work finds out. A better version of the same scheme does not fix that reason. The report then lists what to do, in order, free changes first.

What it does not claim

What it costs

£3,450 for one site of up to 500 staff. About three weeks from start to finish. The employer sends the invitation and two reminders from its own email. PRC Workforce writes them and never receives a staff list or any email address. The report is yours to keep, whatever you decide next.
